We live in a modern age where fashion trends are essential part of our life. Majority of people follow different trends and innovations, but there are those who state that it is a silly and useless pastime that requires a lot of money and time. I am inclined to believe that fashion trends impose unnecessary things, so it is rally a waste of time and money. Firstly, following fashion tendencies instill to buy expensive electronic. For example, there are many more functional smartphones, but people all the same buy Apple devices. Secondly, some clothes are also becoming a fashion tendencies and people spend all their time to find the necessary blouse or shoes. Such people who addicts of following tendencies do not pay attention to the more important things: family, job and friends.

However, there is a different point of view, Some persons claim the following fashion trends is a pretty normal leisure. Firstly, it allows them to keep in touch with modern crowd because such people have common topics for discussion. Secondly, in their opinion, it is better to spend money on fashion and expensive thing than on cheap and unknown. This is due to the imposition of public opinion. I completely disagree with these statements. There are a lot of different ways to keep in touch with society and there is no need to follow trends that have no common sense. Even though some people may disagree with me, I think that persons should spent their money and time on more useful things like travelling and reading books.
